The "Love Me Like You Do" hitmaker was rumored to be dating the boy bander in 2013, though she was most recently linked to musician Dougie Poynter.
The post comes just a few weeks after Niall admitted that Ellie is his dream date in a game of "Who'd You Rather" on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
