Sometimes even the funniest among us need a break. Pregnant comedian Amy Schumer recently took to social media to announce her decision to step back from performing her stand-up shows until her hyperemesis, a pregnancy complication characterized by severe nausea, is more manageable. The I Feel Pretty star has been dealing with the illness throughout her second trimester and clearly it’s been anything but easy for the 37-year-old soon to be mama, so she’s taken this opportunity to tell her fans that she will have to take it easy for the foreseeable future.

On Nov. 27, Amy took to Instagram to share a pretty video that shows what she has been going through so far in her pregnancy. On the way up to her show in Tarrytown, NY, the actress documented herself as a vomiting passenger on her tour bus. “Turn the sound off if you have a weak stomach,” Amy warned in her caption on the post. “This was my ride to my show at @tarrytownmusichall tonight and a picture from the end of my set. I love doing stand-up more than anything and I hate cancelling shows. I have to postpone some until I feel human again.” But don’t fret! She promised this isn’t the last of her stand-up career, even if she is taking a bit of a break. “But I will make up these dates and we will have a great time,” she assured fans.

Turn sound off if you have a weak stomach. This was my ride to my show at @tarrytownmusichall tonight and a picture from the end of my set. I love doing stand-up more than anything and I hate cancelling shows. I have to postpone some until I feel human again. But i will make up these dates and we will have a great time. I’m so proud of my stand up right now and can’t wait to share it. Thanks to the amazing crowd tonight for being so warm and such great laughers and for being cool with my sweatpants and slippers on stage. Shots by @marcusrussellprice we are shooting a doc of me these past few months leading up to a special Im filming and you will see that I’m strugglin right now. But I’m so grateful and excited to be a mom. I’m grateful I have access to healthcare, as we all should have. But I guess what I’m really saying is Fuck Hyde-Smith and anyone who voted for her. My feelings on her are best expressed by the above video. And I don’t usually agree with speaking ill of crackheads, but she has a crackhead looking mouth. Tiny racist teeth confederate ass campaign with her crack mouth said she would attend a public hanging. #crackmouth #tinyracistteeth #hyperemesisgravidarum

Even though the pregnancy complications have clearly put Amy through the ringer, she isn’t letting it get the best of her and her comedy. “I’m so proud of my stand-up right now and can’t wait to share it,” she continued in her caption, and shouted out the Tarrytown, NY crowd from the show in question. “Thanks to the amazing crowd tonight for being so warm and such great laughers and for being cool with my sweatpants and slippers on stage.” Who wouldn’t be cool with that, Amy? You’d DEF rock that look.

Amy also revealed to her fans that she is shooting a documentary of her life on the road doing comedy, in the lead up to an upcoming special she is filming. “We are shooting a doc of me these past few months leading up to a special I’m filming and you will see that I’m [struggling] right now,” she admitted. But she also let the world know how stoked she is about the new arrival on the horizon with husband Chris Fischer. “But I’m so grateful and excited to be a mom.” We’ve been excited too, since the news of her pregnancy officially dropped. Talk about a cool mom.

Hopefully the rest of Amy’s pregnancy calms down a bit, because we NEED her back on the road soon! Who else is gonna supply us with that much laughter? Get well soon, Amy.
