Pregnant Amy Schumer Is ‘Hoping To Have A Daughter’ (EXCLUSIVE)
She’s got that pregnancy glow! On Oct. 22, Amy Schumer announced that she’s expecting her first child with husband Chris Fischer, just eight months after they tied the knot in a surprise sunset ceremony in Malibu. “Amy’s niece Ida is the love of her life, so she’s hoping to have a daughter. Chris is on board with that — he wants a little girl first,” a source told Life & Style magazine exclusively.
Amy and Chris are over the moon. They “can’t wait to meet their little bundle of joy” and “have already begun decorating the baby’s nursery,” the source continued.
For now, the couple is making the best of Amy’s cravings, which award-winning chef Chris, 38, is happy to whip up. “She can’t resist barbecued shrimp, breaded chicken and pasta but misses her favorite pinot grigio,” says the source. “Amy’s joked she’ll have some the minute after giving birth!” We don’t doubt that!
When the 37-year-old comedian first announced the news she was expecting, she obviously had to make a joke out of it. She quipped to the Los Angeles Times on Oct. 22, “Chris and I are thrilled and almost positive he’s the father. I look forward to competing with [Meghan] Markle every step of the way.”
Amy has jokingly compared her pregnancy to Meghan Markle, who is also expecting. She captioned a photo of herself in front of the toilet on Oct. 23, “Today Markle is in Fiji #same” and “Milf alert.”
The I Feel Pretty actress got candid with Howard Stern on his show in April about marriage and potential parenthood. She said, “He’s mine, I’m his. We’ve partnered up and committed to be partners for life.” Howard asked, “Are we talking kids?” She replied, “Maybe, yeah. I’ve got a little dog and I really love her. But now I have nieces.”
We can’t wait for Amy to make more jokes about her little bundle of joy and we hope that whether it’s a boy or girl, they inherit her sense of humor!
