Property Brothers stars Drew and Jonathan Scott reveal — during an exclusive backstage interview with Life & Style at HGTV Presents The Scott Brothers House Party at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, Calif., on July 23 — details about Drew’s upcoming nuptials with fiancée Linda Phan.

As Drew prepares to marry Linda, he tells Life & Style that his brothers, Jonathan and older brother J.D., will be there every step of the way. “They’re my bridesmen!” Drew says. “I’ve pawned off the responsibilities of the bachelor party to them.”

But he doesn’t need help with the actual wedding. Jonathan reveals that his brother is more than prepared: “He’s the weirdo who had it planned since he was 10 years old!”

Now Drew is putting his plans into action with an oceanside ceremony in 2018. “Linda and I want warm weather, we want beach. We want something that has that all-inclusive feel,” says the 39-year-old. The location won’t be the only thing that’s fun for the roughly 200 guests, including “a lot of HGTV and Food Network talent” that the groom-to-be estimates he and Linda, 32, will invite. “Being Scottish, there will definitely be kilts,” shares Drew. “We want to infuse a little bit of tradition into our wedding fashion.”

“It will be early next year, hopefully,” Drew adds. “We’ve been so busy.” Drew and Jonathan’s hectic schedule has included co-authoring a memoir, It Takes Two (out on Sept. 5 and available for presale on Amazon), that they’ll soon head on tour to promote — and Linda will be joining them as the creative director of Scott Brothers Entertainment.

But even though Drew’s been waiting for his big day for years, he’s no groomzilla. “If the cake melted, if the tents fell over, it still wouldn’t matter,” he explains. “Because for us, it’s all about family and friends just being together.”
