She’s moving forward — with her own advice. Real Housewives of New York star Luann de Lesseps spoke with Life & Style exclusively about what she’s learned since the Bravo TV hit show began over 10 years ago. Needless to say, the 54-year-old is all about moving onward and upward … and we think that’s great advice.

“I just have to say that, I sing about this in my song — ‘the little things can take you down so best to brush them off’ — you know, I just feel like you have to have a sense of humor, you have to be good to yourself and kind to yourself with all the social media and things going around and the haters and you just can’t listen to that,” Lu explained after performing her new holiday cabaret show at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa’s Music Box in Atlantic City.

“You just have to keep on moving forward, and for me, it was getting on stage and it wasn’t easy because I had just come off a really terrible thing that happened in my life but it saved me,” she continued.

It’s no surprise to see the brunette beauty feeling so strongly about her newfound cabaret career. Believe it or not, Luann has a new single coming out soon! The Connecticut native will be debuting her new show, F, Marry, Kill, after the new year — and with it comes her fifth song to date, “Viva La Diva.”

“I just feel like I’ve found my place on stage doing what I love. I used to be a showgirl back in the day for Italian television so it’s always been something that I’ve loved,” she revealed exclusively. “I’ve loved Variety, I’ve loved Carol Burnett, and one day friends said to me: You love to sing for your friends, you love to tell jokes, you love to entertain. You should be doing cabaret. And that’s how I started. And it was a passion project and little did I know it would fill a gap because there’s really no show like it around.”

You can say that again. We’re glad that Lu has found her way of ~moving forward~ … because it brings all of us so much joy.
