Turns out, being a parent comes with some major health benefits … at least that’s the case for Rob Kardashian, anyway! The former reality TV star, 32, says “running after his daughter, Dream, is the easiest and most fulfilling workout,” a source told Life & Style exclusively. 

Cardio and family bonding, what could be better than that? As it happens, though, Rob’s fitness regime doesn’t stop there. “Rob has a trainer, but he’ll be the first one to tell you that he doesn’t always commit,” the insider explained. “He still struggles, but [his] food is where he’s been making some great strides.”

If you’re a longtime Keeping Up with the Kardashians fan, then you already know that Rob has always had quite the affinity for fast food. Who could forget the 2013 episode when Kim Kardashian forced Rob to binge on all of his favorite junk food so he would never eat it again.

Considering Kim isn’t a nutritionist or dietician, it’s no surprise that her plan didn’t work. Thankfully, he’s come a long way since then. “He still loves In-N-Out Double-Double burgers and fries, but he’s really cut back. He’s all about salads and fruits, fish and chicken and walking on the treadmill,” the source assured.

Good for Rob! We’re happy to hear that the proud father is continuing on his fitness journey … perhaps it’s because he ended up taking Perez Hilton’s sage advice. “Don’t expect too much too quickly,” Perez, 41, tweeted at Rob in June. “Slow and steady truly does win the race! Be consistent.”

Seemingly appreciative, Rob replied, “I agree with you on this one!” From there, it started a great conversation about physical health. “The best advice I can give you is … don’t weigh yourself! Don’t be ruled by or obsessed with a number,” Perez continued. “Just be consistent with your healthy eating and being active and you WILL get results! You got this!” Well said, sir.

“Yes, I don’t weigh myself yet … and I really don’t care about numbers. I just want to be healthy and that’s all. Thank you for your encouraging words. I appreciate you,” Rob concluded.
