‘Pump Rules’ Star Rob Valletta Almost Married a Princess of Brunei Before Dating Scheana Marie
Wait, he dated a princess? Scheana Marie‘s ex-boyfriend Rob Valletta dropped a pretty big bombshell on this week’s episode of Vanderpump Rules after he opened up about his past relationship and revealed that he dated and almost married a princess of Brunei before he got back together with Scheana, and the reason why he broke up with her is very telling about why he seemed super distant in his relationship with Scheana.
The cast took a group vacation up to Rob’s cabin in Big Bear Lake, CA and while out on a boating trip with Jax Taylor and Tom Sandoval, Rob opened up a lot about his relationship history. He explained that before dating Scheana, he was in a relationship with a princess Brunei but they eventually broke up because he felt that he was not ready for a serious relationship. But it almost doesn’t make sense that he would break up with one woman because he didn’t want to be in a “real” relationship, but then jump into a relationship with Scheana.
Rob’s outlook on relationships doesn’t seem to bode well for his future with Scheana — which is heartbreaking to watch because Scheana seemed to be head-over-heels for Rob. The couple dated nearly a decade ago and remained friends while they went on to date — and in Scheana’s case, marry — other people. But now that they’re back together, it doesn’t look like Rob and Scheana are not on the same page because she constantly said “I love you” to him, and he wouldn’t say it back — and Rob took to Instagram to defend himself.
“Big Bear will always be my happy place. A lot of people are watching a TV show that was shot months ago, and TV shows are shot to create drama and intrigue,” Rob wrote. “No one knows what happens behind closed doors and or when the cameras are off. But what I do know is that there are things that I never expressed on camera, but did in person. The reason I created space in our relationship was because of the world, not the person. [Scheana] and I have cared for and supported each other for 12 years no matter the circumstances or dynamic.”
