Shiloh Jolie ‘Wants to Stay Out of the Spotlight’ Despite Big Offers: ‘The Most Private’ Sibling
Shiloh Jolie has big name companies and celebrities lining up to offer her work – but as Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s kid, she’s not easily impressed by promises of fame or money and is looking to forge a totally different path than her famous parents, a source exclusively tells Life & Style.
“Out of all of Angelina’s kids, Shiloh is the most private. She does not seek attention in any way, except when she’s dancing,” the insider says, referencing the 18-year-old’s chosen form of expression and a clip of her showing off her moves while appearing drastically different than fans are used to seeing her alongside her mom, 49, or on the red carpet. “That’s the only time she’s willing to take center stage and even that is rare, because she usually prefers to be in the back of the group,” the source adds.
The video, which appears to be shot inside the teen’s go-to studio, Millennium Dance Complex, in Los Angeles, has been making the rounds and seriously impressing some big-time decision makers in the industry. “She’s extremely talented and so devoted to her training, so naturally she’s starting to get offers from people looking to help her turn her passion into a big career,” the insider tells. “If she wanted, she could have a whole show built around her, but that is so not her style.”
“Even joining a big-name artist as a backup dancer is not something she’s ready for at this point, although that may change in the future because she also really loves music and going to concerts.”
As the six-strong brood of Brad and Angelina age into adulthood – twins Vivviene and Knox are still 16, though Zahara recently turned 20 on January 8 and Pax and Maddox are both in their early 20s, at 21 and 23 respectively – they’re all now faced with the daunting prospect of finding their way in the world, with some opting for a behind-the-scenes careers and others hoping to launch directly into stardom.
For Shiloh, there’s obviously many paths open to her to be trodden at will, but the source notes she’s discovering that having grown up in the spotlight doesn’t necessarily mean she’s condemned to a life permanently in the public eye. Angelina even opened up about how shy her first born with Brad really is, telling Good Morning America host Michael Strahan the buzz cut-sporting teen “is extremely private,” during an appearance on the show in November 2024.
“They weren’t born with privacy,” the Salt actress added, talking about all six of her children. “So, I hope they can have that as they get older.”
“Finding her path is going to be a little complicated, because she does want to dance for audiences, but she also wants to stay out of the spotlight so it’s somewhat conflicting,” the source continues. “But at this point, hanging on to her privacy is more important to her than advancing her career and Angelina is totally supportive of that, all she wants is for Shiloh to be happy and fulfilled.”
