Another day, another opportunity to analyze Sofia Richie’s complicated love life. It looks like the up-and-coming actress, 22, took a break from spending time with her rumored fling, Jaden Smith, to relax with her pals on Monday, September 7. 

“Happy Labor Day,” Sofia captioned a fresh-faced selfie before heading to dinner with friends Andrew Beyer and Tess Kemper. Just two days earlier, the longtime model, who officially split from her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Scott Disick, in mid-August, was spotted packing on the PDA with Jaden, 22.

On Friday, September 5, Sofia and the “On My Own” artist were photographed getting cozy on the beach in matching pink swimsuits. Hours later, the A-list pair were spotted at Nobu Malibu along with former Hannah Montana actor Moisés Arias and his girlfriend.

As cute as Sofia and Jaden look together, a romance between them could prove, er, difficult for their personal lives. For starters, they’re both incredibly close with Kylie Jenner (a.k.a. Scott’s pseudo-sister-in-law). Additionally, Kylie, 23, and Jaden previously dated for about a year. 

While the former flames were just teenagers at the time, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star did take Jaden to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s wedding in May 2014 as her date. Eventually, things between them fizzled out and Kylie moved on with rapper Tyga.

However, the makeup mogul never stopped being friends with Will Smith‘s son — which led to some jealousy on Tyga’s behalf. “Kylie and Jaden have been hanging out lately and it made Tyga suspicious. He thought something might be going on. So … that was one issue,” a source told E! News after Kylie and Tyga’s first split in November 2015.

“She has a close relationship with Jaden since they were very young but nothing romantic has happened with them since she has been with Tyga,” the insider continued. “Jaden will always love Kylie and Kylie will always have a love for Jaden. They grew up together and were each other’s first loves.”

As it stands, Sofia and Kylie’s friendship is seemingly unfazed. That said, Scott, 37, recently unfollowed his ex on Instagram. *Sips tea.*
