Tarek El Moussa’s Kids Taylor and Brayden ‘Adore’ His GF Heather Rae Young: ‘It’s the Best Thing Ever’
One happy, blended family! Tarek El Moussa and his two kids, Taylor and Brayden, get along great with his girlfriend, Heather Rae Young. “It’s the best thing ever!” the Flip or Flop star exclusively shares with Life & Style.
Tarek, who shares both kids with ex-wife Christina Anstead, was nervous about introducing his little ones to his lady, whom he’s been dating since August 2019, but thankfully, it all worked out in his favor. “You know, as a single dad I was so concerned about bringing someone around and you know — the relationship between Heather and the kids — I couldn’t ask for a better one,” the 38-year-old says. “They adore her, she adores them. They laugh, they play, they get along great! It’s just really comforting.”
It’s clear Tarek is all about his kids. Despite the fact that he and Christina split in 2016, his relationship with his 9-year-old daughter Taylor and 4-year-old son hasn’t been affected. In fact, the three are so close that they have a number of activities they bond over. “Taylor, me and her — we just love racing go-karts together. I take her to the local K1 and she races against all the high school kids and she’s nine and she gets first place every time, and she beats all the other kids,” the dad of two divulges. “It’s incredible to watch! All the other people there are like laughing about how crazy fast she is. And then Brayden is just becoming this little man. He’s talking more and more every day. His personality’s even bigger and he’s playing video games and these sports with me, and we’re just having a blast!”
Having a reality TV show definitely has its perks. While Tarek is working, he’s also making lifelong memories with his kids. “Every now and then they film with me, and I just love catching those moments, and I’ll be able to have that footage for the rest of my life so it’s really nice to have,” he says. We love to see it!
Tarek’s new series Flipping 101w/Tarek El Moussa will premiere on Thursday, March 5th at 9/8c on HGTV and he’ll be appearing on an upcoming Extreme Makeover: Home Edition episode on Sunday, March 15th at 9 ET/PT.
