Taylor Swift and Halsey Fangirling Over Selena Gomez’s 2019 AMAs Performance Is the Cutest Thing
Legends supporting legends! Taylor Swift and Halsey were adorable while fangirling over Selena Gomez‘s performance to open the 2019 American Music Awards. The ladies danced and sang along to their pal’s new songs “Lose You to Love Me” and “Look at Her Now.”
The 29-year-old pop star and Halsey, 25, looked like they were singing along and dancing to Selena’s bops as they watched her on stage. How sweet!
Of course, fans couldn’t get enough of their interactions. One person wrote, “I’m living for this Selena / Taylor / Halsey friendship,” while another echoed, “Halsey and Taylor watching Selena perform is the best thing you’ll see this week. #AMAs.” A third person chimed in, writing, “Find you some friends who support you like Halsey and Taylor Swift supported Selena Gomez. #AMAs.”
Later on in the night, Taylor performed a medley of her hits including “Lover,” “Love Story,” “The Man,” “Shake It Off” and “I Knew You Were Trouble,” and of course, Selena, 27, cheered on her bestie from the audience along with Tay’s parents, Andrea Swift and Scott Swift.

It’s no surprise that Selena and Taylor are each other’s biggest fans. Recently, the “Dress” crooner has been in a feud with Scooter Braun over ownership of her music, and Sel made sure to stick up for her pal. “I have known Taylor for 13 years. She is the most dedicated, fearless, feisty, strongest woman I’ve ever known. People can say bitch but what I’m saying to you is that she’s called a woman with true identity and strength who takes no s—t. I listened to Fearless before it came out, and I just remember us jumping on a bed, and she was just sparkling,” she began. “So, I can tell you firsthand the MOST important thing to Taylor is her family, love, her fans and her MUSIC. I really hope there is a change of heart over this unfortunate situation. Seeing my best friend (or any of my friends) be constantly pulled down is the worst feeling. Taylor fights. She will never stop fighting. People grow from choices. Some will stay exactly the same. I just want a change of heart. I love you.”
On November 15, Big Machine denied Taylor’s accusations. “Taylor, the narrative you have created does not exist,” the statement read. “To date, not one of the invitations to speak with us and work through this has been accepted. Rumors fester in the absence of communication … We share the collective goal of giving your fans the entertainment they both want and deserve.”
Scooter also spoke out, saying, “I’m right here, ready to speak directly and respectfully. But if you would prefer to make large public statements while refusing to work towards resolving things amicably, then I just pray that nobody gets seriously hurt in the process. I continue to wish you the best and hope we can resolve this.”
Luckily, the Grammy winner was able to perform her old hits at the awards show and killed it. Now, can we get these amazing women to perform together in the future?
