Less than a day after Selena Gomez released her highly anticipated single “Lose You To Love Me,” the 27-year-old surprised fans with yet another incredible track. Titled “Look at Her Now,” Selena seemingly references her whirlwind romance with on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber.

While there’s no denying that the lyrics are incredibly emotional, the overall tone of “Look at Her Now” is actually pretty uplifting. In fact, based on a few of the verses, it sounds like Selena is finally moving on from her most notable relationship to date.

The ballad opens with, “They fell in love one summer/ A little too wild for each other/ Shiny ’til it wasn’t/ Feels good ’til it doesn’t/ It was her first real lover/ His too ’til he had another/ Oh, God, when she found out/ Trust levels went way down.” With lyrics like “first real lover,” it’s not hard to see why people think this track is just as much about Justin as “Lose You To Love Me.”

Perhaps even more compelling than the intro is the bridge: “She knows she’ll find love (She knows)/ Only if she wants it.” We can’t speak for Selenators everywhere but it sounds like your girl is finally putting the past in the past. After all, Justin, 25, marrying Hailey Baldwin was likely the closure Selena needed.

OK … let’s talk pre-chorus because unlike the rest of the track, it’s kind of shady. “Of course she was sad/ But now she’s glad she dodged a bullet (Mm)/ Took a few years to soak up the tears/ But look at her now, watch her go.”

Hmmm, not only does it sound like Selena is moving on, but also that she’s grateful she didn’t end up with Justin. Given Hailey’s apparent reaction to “Lose You To Love Me,” we doubt she’s going to be too pleased with this single either.

Then again, if Selena thinks she “dodged a bullet” and Hailey is happily married, can you really ask for a better outcome? We think it’s time to let bygones be bygones, ladies.
