Taylor Swift Reportedly Handed Out $55 Million in Bonuses to Her Employees: ‘She Has a Huge Heart’
Money is no object for Taylor Swift, who was crowned the world’s richest female musician in 2024.
The billionaire, 35, is spending some of her hard-earned cash on a new addition to her $17.75 million Rhode Island mansion, complete with an extra bedroom and bathrooms, per a building permit issued by the town of Westerly, Rhode Island. The kitchen will receive a makeover, too, and the renovations look to cost about $1.7 million.
After raking in $2 billion in ticket sales on her Eras tour, Taylor also wanted to make sure she shared the wealth with the people who helped make it such a huge success. A crew member who worked on the U.S. leg recently revealed that she gifted him a $100,000 bonus.
“Taylor has a huge heart,” a source exclusively tells Life & Style of the pop star, who’s rumored to have handed out a total of $55 million in bonuses. “She gives credit where credit’s due.”
Taylor first purchased her Watch Hill estate in 2013 and she’s held several star-studded parties at the mansion over the years, including her famous Fourth of July soirées. The “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” singer didn’t celebrate Independence Day at the home in 2024 because she was traveling the world for her Eras tour, but she and boyfriend Travis Kelce were spotted there the following month.
Photos shared by TMZ on August 24, 2024, showed Taylor and Travis, 35, soaking up the sun on the balcony, and the couple was joined later in the weekend by Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. At the time, Taylor had a two-month hiatus coming up on her tour and sources told Life & Style that she was planning on making herself at home at Travis’ place.
“She’s had the time of her life performing all over the world but is looking forward to just nesting during her tour’s two-month hiatus,” the insider said. “She can’t wait to root Travis on at Kansas City Chiefs home games and really focus on him without having one foot out the door.”
However, it appeared that the Miss Americana star might be ready to settle down for an extended period of time after being on the road for almost two years straight.
“After 21 months on the road and a year-and-a-half with Travis, Taylor is ready for this next chapter to begin with the love of her life,” an insider exclusively told Life & Style on January 9. “[She and Travis have] a lot to look forward to, and they couldn’t be more excited about it.”
It seems as though part of what the couple is looking forward to is setting up a home base where they can eventually welcome children into the picture. The New York Post reported that the “Snow on the Beach” singer was also making changes to the Rhode Island estate in hopes of raising a family there with Travis.
“This is going to be her main home base and where she and Kelce will hopefully raise a family one day,” a source told the outlet in an article published on January 15.
