‘The Golden Bachelorette’ Men Tell All Recap: The Biggest Bombshells From the Episode
The group of guys from this season of The Golden Bachelorette reunited for one special night! It’s the Men Tell All and Jesse Palmer was ready to uncover juicy secrets, big bombshells and more about this season with the men.
Joan Vassos also stopped by to have candid chats with some of the guys, including Pascal and Charles L.
Michael Revealed His Cancer Diagnosis
The episode kicked off with a lot of laughs, as Charles L. proved to be even more lovable than before and Jesse praised Jonathan for his unforgettable Chippendales strip routine. All proceeds from the Chippendales date went to Stand Up to Cancer. Jesse then turned to Michael to share an update on his life.
Michael said that just before he got the call for the show, he was diagnosed with cancer. He was not going to go ahead with the show but his kids talked him into it. “I am going to be fine,” he said. “It was caught early and I want to thank this terrific group of guys and I want to thank Joan because I am grateful for that experience.”
In honor of all the men and their families, Jesse revealed that ABC is matching their donation to Stand Up to Cancer.
Jonathan Broke Down in Tears
Jonathan was first up to take the hot seat. He broke down in tears when he watched a video about his journey on the show.
He reflected on the friendships he made along the way. He read out a note that Mark left for him during their time in the house together, making everyone emotional. “Jonathan, you are a fantastic human being,” Mark told him.
Mark also got praised by the audience and by Jesse for being part of Joan’s journey to finding love on the show. Bachelor Joey Graziadei was in the audience, sharing some words of praise for Mark, his future father-in-law.
Charles L. Has a Newfound Confidence
Charles L. headed up to the hot seat next. Charles admitted he had no idea who Jesse was before he came on the show, but the former NFL star did not take offense. Charles said he was “grateful” to Joan and the gentleman for making his journey on the show so special. His daughter was in the audience, and praised her dad for his “newfound confidence.” She said that they went to a wedding recently and Charles was dancing the night away in the middle of the dance floor. There was a video to prove it!
Charles said he is ready to date again. Initially, he did not know how his daughters would react to him dating again. But he received so much love from his family and support to move on after his wife’s death. “I hope that one day I will meet that lucky one out there,” he said before someone in the audience stood up and said that Charles should be the next Golden Bachelor. She said if not, her mom is single.
Pascal Opened Up About His Breakup With Joan
Pascal joined Jesse on stage in the hot seat. He said that his breakup from Joan was “very emotional.”
“It was really difficult for me to say goodbye,” he admitted. “I hope I didn’t hurt her. That was not my intention. She is a wonderful woman.”
“I just wasn’t able to give her what she was looking for at the time. I was too guarded,” he admitted.
Joan Took the Stage
Joan took the stage to reflect on her journey. Her mother was in the audience. Joan told Charles he looked “really handsome” and said she never met someone like him with a “pure heart.” Later on in the episode, Jonathan revealed that he “met someone.” Joan also teased what’s to come in the finale episode, saying that things were “emotional” but there were some happy tears.
