Are the Kardashians Giving Their Kids Unrealistic Standards From the Get-Go?

The forever fabulous Khloé Kardashian's little doll baby True Thompson has been alive for all of a few months and she already has an Instagram account and a suspiciously Snapchattable face. Which like, look, we understand that True and Kylie Jenner's angel baby Stormi Webster are blessed by being born in the KarJenner gene pool. But they also might be cursed by their place in the dynasty. See, every time we see the eerily smoothed out skin of their should-be-wrinkly newborn babies, we do have to wonder: are the Kardashian moms setting an impossibly high beauty and lifestyle standard for their children?

The thing is, there's a lot of pressure to be flawlessly fit, beautiful, and popular when you grow up as part of the Kardashian brand. You're only as worthy as your last Instagram post after all. And both Khloé and Kylie have admitted to having no shortage of insecurities. "She didn't mean harm, but when I was around nine I overheard my mom telling her friend I needed a nose job," Khloé revealed to British Cosmopolitan in 2013. And Kylie famously succumbed to lip fillers to bring her up to the Kardashian standard, although apparently, it was a kiss that brought upon her anxieties. "I was 15 and I was insecure about my lips," she revealed in 2017. "I have really small lips. And it was like one of my first kisses and a guy was like, ‘I didn’t think you would be a good kisser because you have such small lips.' But I took that really hard."

It wouldn't be shocking if Kylie, Khloé, and the rest of the Kardashian moms are setting their babies up to be the best they can be while simultaneously giving them high, unrealistic standards to uphold. Click through our gallery for all the ways the Kardashian kids have a lot to live up to.
