The winner of season 27 of The Voice will walk away with more than just bragging rights as the champion. The ultimate prize package for the winner was revealed ahead of the new season premiere on February 3, 2025.

What Is the Prize for ‘The Voice’ Season 27?

As it is every year, the winner takes home a grand prize of $100,000 cash as well as a recording contract with Universal Music Group. The champ also gets a trophy and a chance to return and perform new music on future seasons of the show, as has been the case for numerous past winners.

Which ‘The Voice’ Winners Have Released Albums?

While winners score a record contract, only some have actually put out albums or EPs.

Season 1 champ Javier Colon released his album Come Through For You in 2011 after winning The Voice, even though he had previously released two albums prior to that.

Season 3 winner Cassadee Pope had massive success with her debut album, Frame by Frame, which dropped in 2013 the year after she took first place. The country singer has since gone on to release albums in 2019 and 2021.

Danielle Bradbery released her eponymous debut solo album in 2013 following her win in season 4. She’s since dropped three studio albums in the years since. Season 6 champ Josh Kaufman won in 2014, releasing a self-titled EP two years later.

Season 7 champ Craig Wayne Boyd won in 2014, but his debut album, Top Shelf, didn’t drop until three years later. Sawyer Fredericks released a self-titled EP and an album, The Good Storm, after winning The Voice season 8.

Cam Anthony won season 20 of The Voice in 2021, releasing the single “Keep It Between Us” the following year. The sibling trio Girl Named Tom took home first place in season 21, releasing a Christmas album in 2022. Bryce Leatherwood took home the top spot in season 22 and released his single, “The Finger,” in October 2023. In an October 2024 interview, the country singer said he was still working on his debut album.

While Brynn Cartelli won season 14 of The Voice in 2018, she ended up signing a record deal with Atlantic records after hiring her coach Kelly Clarkson‘s then-husband, Brandon Blackstock, as her manager. Brynn also got the opportunity to open up for Kelly’s 2019 Meaning of Life tour.

Who Are the Coaches for Season 27 of ‘The Voice’?

The four music superstars who will help choose the season 27 champ include John Legend, who has been a coach for 10 seasons but took season 26 off. He helped coach Maelyn Jarmon to win 2019’s season 16 of The Voice, but she has yet to release an album.

Canadian crooner Michael Bublé is returning for his second straight year after his contestant, Sofronio Vasquez, won season 26 of The Voice.

Original The Voice coach Adam Levine is returning to the competition after leaving the show following season 16 in May 2019. He helped three contestants claim the top spot.

Country singer Kelsea Ballerini joins season 27 as a first-time coach after appearing on two of Kelly Clarkson’s seasons as an advisor.
