The White Lotus’ Patrick Schwarzenegger Reveals Fiancee Abby Champion’s Reaction to ~That~ Sex Scene
The White Lotus star Patrick Schwarzenegger revealed how his fiancée, Abby Champion, felt about the … ahem … brotherly love his character Saxon Ratliff received during season 3.
Patrick, 31, explained that he was very tight-lipped about spoilers, and he was glad when the finale aired during his appearance on The Tonight Show on Thursday, April 10.
“I’m happy that I don’t have people walking up to me in the coffee shop, asking me who dies all the time. I’m happy that family isn’t bothering me all the time asking me who died,” Patrick said.
When host Jimmy Fallon was surprised that the Midnight Sun actor didn’t spoil The White Lotus for anyone, Patrick pointed out that he didn’t “tell anybody,” including Abby, 28.
“My fiancée was nagging me nonstop when I booked the role, and she was like, ‘You gotta tell me who dies,’” Patrick continued. “I’m like, ‘I’m not telling you who dies. I signed my life away. Mike [White] will fire me.’”
The Staircase actor shared that Abby then wanted to know if he “hooked up” with people, and he explained that, because of The White Lotus’ notorious plot twists, he couldn’t give anything away.
“She said, ‘Just tell me if you get with people,’” Patrick went on. “And I said, ‘Yes, I do.’ And she was like, ‘Who? Which girls do you get with?’ I was like, ‘I can’t tell you!’”
Patrick managed to keep the details away from Abby, but she was shocked when episodes 5 and 6 of The White Lotus season 3 rolled around.
“She was like, ‘You got with your brother?!’” Patrick said as Jimmy, 50, burst into laughter.
During the aforementioned episodes, Saxon and his younger brother, Lochlan Ratliff (Sam Nivola), spent a night partying with Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) and Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon) on a yacht in the middle of the ocean. Drugs and alcohol were consumed by all and one thing led to another, and before long, the night took an incestuous turn when Lochlan planted a kiss on Saxon.
Things didn’t stop there. Saxon found himself in the midst of a threesome with Lochlan and Chloe. Lochlan and Chloe were having sex, and Lochlan offered Saxon a hand so he wouldn’t miss out on the action.
However, Sam, 21, wasn’t able to hold his tongue about the incestuous sex scene.
“I told my parents, but I haven’t told my sister. She’s bad at keeping secrets,” he previously admitted to Variety. “I’m not supposed to have told anyone, because I’m under a lot of NDAs. But I told my girlfriend [Iris Apatow] because she was there while we were shooting it. That’s about it. I’m really scared about getting sued by HBO.”
Patrick had also talked about the NSFW scenes and confessed that after watching the first episode of The White Lotus with his parents, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, he wouldn’t be continuing the trend for the rest of the season.
“I think some upcoming episodes I’m going to watch without them,” Patrick told Drew Barrymore during a March 25 appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show. “[I] would definitely take a bathroom break [if things get too awkward]. The next episodes, they’re crazy.”
