Who Is Caleb Hearon? Meet the Comedian, Podcast Host, and Star of the Upcoming ‘Devil Wears Prada 2’
Caleb Hearon is quickly becoming one of Gen Z’s favorite comedians — and Hollywood is taking notice. The sharp-witted rising star is not only headlining his first HBO Max comedy special but also joining the cast of the highly anticipated Devil Wears Prada sequel. With a growing list of TV and film credits and a signature comedic voice, Caleb’s star power is only just beginning to shine.
So, who is Caleb Hearon, and how did he get here? Let’s break it down.
Where’s He From?
Born on January 24, 1995 (an Aquarius!), Caleb was raised by a single mom outside of Kansas City. He attended Missouri State University, where he studied socio-political communication with plans to become a lawyer.
After college, Caleb moved to Chicago to pursue comedy full-time. He currently splits his time between Kansas City and New York, where he relocated about a year ago.
How’d He Get His Start?
Caleb began his comedy career performing a weekly variety show at The iO Theater in Chicago. He later toured a showcase called At What Cost? with his best friend Holmes in Los Angeles and New York.
His rise really began online. First gaining traction on X (formerly Twitter) with his sharp comedic takes, Caleb eventually started posting videos on TikTok — and his following exploded.
During his early years in Chicago, Caleb hustled to make ends meet. He walked dogs, worked at an ad agency, and even did social media for a musical parody called The Book of Merman.
What’s He Starred In?
Alongside becoming a fan-favorite podcast guest, Caleb hosts his own chart-topping interview show, “So True With Caleb Hearon.” He’s also made waves behind the scenes, writing on the Big Mouth spinoff Human Resources.
Onscreen, he’s appeared in Jurassic World: Dominion and HBO Max’s Sweethearts, and has upcoming roles in The Devil Wears Prada 2, Little Brother (with John Cena, Eric André and Ego Nwodim) and Lily Wachowski’s Trash Woman.
His hourlong comedy special, Caleb Hearon: Model Comedian, premiered on September 19, 2025, on HBO.
What’s He Playing In ‘Devil Wears Prada 2’?
It’s unclear exactly who Caleb will portray in the upcoming sequel, but he recently spoke about the experience on Kylie Kelce’s “Not Gonna Lie” podcast.
“I can’t believe they’re doing that,” Caleb amusingly reflected. “I’m like, what are y’all thinking?”
“My scenes are done. I watched the original Devil Wears Prada as like a closeted gay kid in Missouri when I was like 11 years old, and it meant so much to me,” he explained.
What Happened With Him and MrBeast?
In August 2025, Caleb was unexpectedly pulled into a viral moment when Rolling Stone ranked him No. 6 on its list of the most influential online creators — one spot ahead of YouTube megastar MrBeast. The YouTuber publicly complained, then deleted his post and personally called Caleb to apologize.
“Right now, people really want me to be mad about this MrBeast thing. I just don’t really care. I thought it was kind of funny?” Caleb told Bustle. “I just don’t think we have to take everything so seriously [when we can try to get] to a place of letting things wash over you.”
