The pair met through mutual friend, Ryan Andres. Ryan is Whitney’s business partner at NoBS Active. Meanwhile, Chase and Ryan know each other from school. “Chase is one of Ryan’s best friends from college, and I’m so into him,” the 35-year-old said during a preview of the upcoming season of My Big Fat Fabulous Life.
Chase will be officially introduced in the upcoming season of MBFFL, which premieres on TLC on January 7. There, you will get to see exactly how he ended up proposing to the brunette beauty. It turns out, it was a fairytale from the ring to the location he chose to pop the question. Though Whitney unveiled the happy news on Tuesday, December 3, she’s actually been engaged since October 9 and managed to keep it a secret until now.
“Chase and I are so excited to officially announce our engagement and even more excited for My Big Fat Fabulous Life viewers to share this happiness with us,” she told People. Hours later, she gushed about her man and their relationship status on Instagram.
“Chase and I got engaged on October 9th in Paris and I’m quite possibly the happiest woman alive. It has been REAL hard to keep this a secret!” she captioned a selfie, in which she flaunted her stunning ring. “Can’t wait to share this with y’all! ♥️ #MyBigFatFabLife// EDIT: the ring is exactly what I wanted: yellow sapphire, diamonds, + white gold.”
Besides being good looking, Whit’s man also has brains. According to his LinkedIn page, he has a degree in accounting and finance. Before his relationship to Whitney, he worked as a revenue field auditor for nearly three years.
While viewers of the show have yet to meet Chase, fans may have spotted him on Whit’s social media a number of times. Though neither of them has revealed when they started dating, they became Instagram official in May when she shared four selfies with him and captioned the post, “Bae.”
The following month, Chase shared his first photo with Whitney, which was taken while they had dinner at Lake Tahoe. “If you don’t know, now ya know,” he captioned it. Since then, they’ve both shared the cutest Insta selfies with each other.
