Boss BabeNormani Seems Too Focused on Her Career to Be Dating Anyone, and We Don’t Blame Her
You may be seeing a lot of Normani these days — especially after she dropped her first solo single and music video, “Motivation,” which turned out to be a total bop. The Fifth Harmony alum is the new artist to watch out for, so of course, fans can’t help but want to learn more about her. Like who she’s dating, for instance.
It turns out, the 23-year-old is all about focusing on herself these days. She hasn’t been romantically linked to anyone recently. When she was on the X Factor in 2012, she was rumored to be dating contestant Arin Ray. The two reportedly split in 2013, then she became linked to bandmate Dinah Jane’s cousin Thomas Hansen. Normani was also rumored to be dating her Dancing with the Stars partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy in 2017, as well as actor Kendrick Sampson. However, the singer has never denied or confirmed any of these relationships.
She has spilled the tea on some aspects of her dating life, though. In a Rolling Stone interview published in September 2018, Normani admitted that her longest relationship lasted for “two years.” She also confessed that dating isn’t a priority right now. “One, it’s about time. What time do I really have to fully commit to someone right now? But also, it’s scary, because with the success that I have now, it’s like, ‘what are your intentions? What’s your motive?’ But they’ve got to go through my family first, so. That’s how I’ll know,” she told the outlet at the time.
One of the reasons Normani isn’t interested in dating is because she believes guys her age have a different mindset. “I’ve just been working my butt off, but [guys in their] 20s? They’re just not yet men. They’re trying to figure it out,” she added. “They’ve kind of got to go through the f–kboy phase. But if you find someone, let me know.”
