The Golden Globes are all about film and television, so you may be wondering why Taylor Swift is there. Well, it turns out the musician made an appearance because she herself is up for an award, thanks to one of her songs “Beautiful Ghosts,” which was featured in Cats.
Taylor is nominated for Original Song at the 2020 Golden Globes, which took place on January 5. This wasn’t the first time Taylor attended the prestigious award show, though. The 30-year-old singer made a surprise appearance last year when she was a presenter. In addition, her beau, Joe Alwyn, was there too because he received 5 nods that night. That being said, she could also have been there to support her man, whom she’s been dating for quite some time now.
The couple seem to have the best bond, and that hasn’t changed despite Taylor having a whirlwind of a year in 2019. “Taylor has had a tough year and Joe has been a rock for her,” a source divulged to Us Weekly in December 2019. “Taylor and Joe did spend Thanksgiving together in London. They are still going very strong.”
While neither of the two has confirmed exactly when they began dating, Taylor basically gave it away in her song, “Lover.” The lyric is as follows: “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, but I want ’em all.”
When it comes to music, The Favourite actor is aware that he’s Taylor’s muse, and it turns out, he’s completely OK with her publicly pouring her heart out about him. “It’s flattering,” he told the Sunday Times about the blonde beauty writing songs about him. Aw!
The blonde hunk has seemingly inspired a few of her tracks since her Reputation days. “The moments of my true story on that album are songs like ‘Delicate,’ ‘New Year’s Day,’ ‘Call It What You Want,’ ‘Dress,’” she explained to Rolling Stone in September. “The one-two punch, bait-and-switch of Reputation is that it was actually a love story. It was a love story in amongst chaos.” We can’t wait to see what else she writes about him!
