Travis Kelce taking his turn as host on the game show Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? In light of his hosting debut, many fans are wondering if his family will compete on the show.
Is Travis Kelce’s Family Competing on ‘Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?’
None of Travis’ family members have been confirmed to compete on Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? However, he did say that he hopes to see at least one of his family member’s make an appearance on the show.
“I would love to get somebody in my family up there,” the Kansas City Chiefs athlete told TODAY.com in October 2024. “Either my dad [Ed Kelce] or my brother [Jason Kelce], because it can get a little embarrassing if you don’t know, like, the simplest of questions.”
Travis added that he didn’t want to put his mom, Donna Kelce, on the spot, though he said he had no problems putting Ed or Jason in a potentially embarrassing situation.
“I think my dad would do pretty good. Jason …” Travis said before taking a deep breath. “He’s got some pretty good trivia knowledge, so I think he’d fare pretty good as well.”
While Travis did predict how his mom, dad and brother would do on the show, he did not guess how his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, or his sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce, would do on the show.
Which Stars Are Competing on ‘Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?’
While fans aren’t guaranteed to see any of Travis’ family members compete on the game show, there are plenty of celebrities that viewers are going to watch get their knowledge tested.
Comedians such as Nikki Glaser, Natasha Leggero, Nicole Byer and Ron Funches will appear as panelists on the show, as well as The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Garcelle Beauvais and Vanderpump Rules’ Lala Kent.
Travis Kelce Feels Confident Amid His Hosting Debut
Ahead of his hosting debut, Travis told TODAY.com that Amazon made him feel “comfortable from the jump” and the role “felt pretty natural.”
“We ran through the show so many times to where I started to really grasp it and make it my own,” he shared.
The Ohio native went on to share that the overall experience was positive. “We had so many unbelievable guests and celebrities, familiar faces, however you want to call them — it was just so genuine and so much fun to be a part of,” he continued. “Everybody was just so fun to work with that it didn’t really feel like work.”
While reflecting on the experience, Travis admitted that one of his most memorable moments was also one of the most embarrassing from the set. “I was being silly with one of my friends backstage and trying to act like I was kicking them, like I was Bruce Lee, and I ripped the entire inseam on my suit pants, and it took, like, 15 minutes for somebody to come in and sew that back together for me,” he told the outlet. “So that was a really embarrassing moment, and I wasted some time, some valuable time, doing it.”

The first three episodes of Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? will premiere on Prime Video on October 16, 2024, followed by new episodes each week.
