Zayn and Gigi’s Relationship Didn’t Last Forever… But His Tat of Her Sure Will
Awkward… Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid crushed the souls of fans everywhere when they announced their split. The celebrity it-couple made headlines after news leaked that their two-year-long relationship was over. Soon after, Zayn and Gigi took to Twitter to release their heartfelt statements about the breakup. But, fans are struggling to accept the fact that the former One Directioner and the supermodel are over over… especially since Z still has a (very visible) tattoo dedicated to G on his chest.
"Gigi and Zayn broke up lmfaoooo how many times does this boy have to break up with someone to learn he shouldn't tattoo them on their body," one fan tweeted. Oh yeah, and it gets messier. The former boy bander also got ink in honor of ex-fiancée and Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards before they split (obvs). He's since got the tattoo for Perrie covered up, but Zayn, when will you learn?

The "Pillowtalk" singer is clearly embracing a #noregrets philosophy because he posted three photos highlighting his numerous tats (and abs, but that's beside the point) the same day he told the world that he and G are done. "Gigi and I had an incredibly meaningful, loving, and fun relationship and I have a huge amount of respect and adoration for Gigi as a woman and a friend," he tweeted. "She has such an incredible soul. I'm grateful to all of our fans for respecting this difficult decision and our privacy at this time, we wish this news could have come from us first. We love you all. xZ."
We love you too, but what are you going to do about the tattoos of your ex-girlfriend's eyes on your chest, huh? Some fans see the permanent ink as a sign that the not-so-permanent couple will find their way back to each other. "You broke up with Gigi… I can't live without your love seriously," one fan wrote on Instagram. Another added, "You and Gigi are made for each other ❤️ Hope you get back together in the future."
While other fans are just happy to laugh at the irony of it all…
