Pregnancy can make a hot and steamy summer even more unbearable, but playing an expectant Jackie O in the History Channel miniseries The Kennedys has Katie Holmes positively beaming. During production in Canada, she's been spotted fondly rubbing her prosthetic belly, cooing over kids on set and spending quality mother daughter time with Suri.

And her first major on-screen role as a mom couldn't be coming at a more appropriate time. Katie, who's made no secret of the fact that she and husband Tom Cruise plan to give Suri, 4, a younger sibling, is loving every second of motherhood. "It's just fabulous," she told Life & Style at an NYC screening of The Extra Man on July 19. "I'm very lucky. Very lucky."
