Harrison Ford's return to the latest Star Wars film to reprise his role as Hans Solo took a nasty turn this week when the actor was injured on the set of the movie, filming in England. And now, after almost four days in the hospital, it seems that Harrison's injury may be much worse than first thought, and wife Calista Flockhart has rushed to be by his side.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor broke his ankle when he was injured by the door of the Millennium Falcon, his spacecraft in the films, while working on Thursday. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital in Oxford, where he still remains.
In an official statement, the film's studio, Disney, said, "Harrison Ford sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII. He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates."
Now, however, there are rumors the 71-year-old actor may have suffered a pelvic injury, causing his wife Calista to fly out to England to be by his side. She has denied that is why she is in the country, and claims she had always planned to viisit her husband on set at this time. Some are also saying these injuries may hold up on filming of the new movie, set to premiere next year.
We have no doubt however that Hans, we mean Harrison, will have no problem getting over this injury.
