After it was revealed that the Buffalo Bills will take center stage in an upcoming movie, fans are wondering what Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story will be about and if it’s inspired by the team’s quarterback, Josh Allen, and his fiancée, Hailee Steinfeld.
Bills’ Damar Hamlin Announced ‘Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story’
Bills safety Damar Hamlin announced the new movie while appearing on the March 27, 2025, episode of Today.
“What’s up, everybody? Good morning. It’s Damar Hamlin here from the Buffalo Bills with an early Christmas present,” he said in the pre-recorded message. “We have big news today. Hallmark Channel and the NFL have selected the Buffalo Bills in the 2025 ‘Countdown to Christmas’ movie draft. Stay tuned this holiday season for the all-new Hallmark Channel movie Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story.”
Damar continued, “We’re so excited to celebrate our team, our fans and shout out to Bills Mafia, and our shared love for football and Hallmark Christmas movies. Go Bills. Let’s go.”
What Is ‘Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story’ About?
Despite announcing the movie, Hallmark has not yet revealed the plot to the film or shared any details about the cast.
When Does ‘Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story’ Premiere?
Similar to the movie’s plot, the premiere date for A Bills Love Story has also not been revealed. However, it will be included as part of Hallmark’s 2025 Countdown to Christmas programming, which began in October and ran through late December during the 2024 lineup.
What Was ‘Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story’ About?
A Bills Love Story comes after the network released A Chiefs Love Story in November 2024. The team may have been chosen due to tight end Travis Kelce’s romance with Taylor Swift, though the movie had nothing to do with their romance.
The movie followed loyal Chiefs fan Alana Higman (played by Hunter King) as she and her family competed to win the team’s Fan of the Year contest. Throughout the process, Alana and her family worked alongside competition judge and Chiefs director of fan engagement Derrick (played by Tyler Hynes). In typical Hallmark fashion, the two sparked a connection over the course of the movie.
Will ‘Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story’ Be About Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld?
Since A Chiefs Love Story was not about Taylor and Travis, A Bills Love Story likely won’t be about Josh and Hailee. However, the couple does have a love story worth telling.
After having a private romance that began in 2023, the couple announced their engagement in November 2024.
Josh and Hailee have worked hard to maintain their privacy, though an insider exclusively told Life & Style in October 2024 that they’re as happy as can be. “Hailee and Josh are super serious about each other,” the source shared at the time. “They’ve made a home together in Buffalo.”
