AwkwardAdrienne Bailon Admits Her Relationship With Rob Kardashian Is The ‘Shortest’ She’s Ever Had
She’s setting the record straight! Speaking with Us Weekly, Rob Kardashian’s ex-girlfriend Adrienne Bailon opened up about her past relationship with the now-31-year-old. While most people (read: fans of Keeping Up with the Kardashians) have been under the impression that Rob was one of Adrienne’s most significant relationships, the former Cheetah Girls star admitted that that couldn’t be further from the truth. Ouch.
“I do think it’s funny, only because it really is the shortest relationship I’ve ever had,” Adrienne began. “It’s reality TV, and I used to get so annoyed by that, but I don’t now,” she continued. “Now, I’m just like, ‘It is what it is.’”
Society’s fixation on Adrienne’s past romance has affected the actress in more ways than one — including overshadowing her career. “I was like, ‘Guys, but I’ve accomplished other things,’” she explained. “And I think that even got misinterpreted as me saying at some point I wish I had never done the show. I don’t think it was that at all. I just was annoyed that people tried to say that that was the only thing I had accomplished. So, that was a sucky spot in my career.”
We hear that, girl. To be fair, though, viewers of KUWTK weren’t the only ones who branded Adrienne as Rob Kardashian’s lady. In fact, the now-35-year-old did that all on her own. In case you forgot, the brunette beauty got her former flame’s name tattooed on her butt!
Her reasoning? Well, it wasn’t exactly love. “You guys know that I got Rob’s name tattooed on my butt, in the past, it was not the wisest,” Adrienne told Tamera Mowry on Girl Chat. Naturally, Tamera followed up with what we’re all thinking: “Why on the butt?!” Adrienne quickly chimed in with the answer: “So when he’s tapping it, he can see it!”
Sigh. The mid-2000s were such simpler times. Anyway, we’re happy that Adrienne has since removed her tattoo and gone on to find true love with her hubby, Israel Houghton.
