Amy Schumer’s Ex Ben Hanisch Wishes Her ‘Nothing But Love’ Following Birth of Her Baby
Not all exes are salty! Days after Amy Schumer gave birth to her first child with husband Chris Fischer, her ex Ben Hanisch exclusively revealed to Life & Style how he feels about the news.
“I’m really happy for them!” he said. “I think Amy will be a great mother, and although I don’t know Chris, I’m sure he’s a great guy. I wish them the best, nothing but love.” So sweet!
The former couple dated for a year before calling it quits in May 2017. At the time of their split, the comedian’s rep said in a statement that “Amy and Ben have ended their relationship after thoughtful consideration and remain friends.”
Since then, Ben has been linked to artist Janine Doherty. He made it Instagram official when he posted a photo with her on Valentine’s Day in February 2018 — just a day after Amy revealed she and her hubby, Chris, tied the knot.
Amy and Chris seem to be doing great, especially now that they’ve welcomed a baby boy named Gene Attell Fischer on May 5. The I Feel Pretty actress took to Instagram to announce the news the following day. “10:55 pm last night. Our royal baby was born,” she wrote alongside a pic of her holding her baby boy, while Chris kissed her on the cheek. A day later, she revealed the name when she shared a sweet photo of the new dad carrying his son.
Thankfully, the hardest part is over. Days before giving birth, Amy expressed her frustration with still being pregnant. “Oh yeah does it feel to everyone like I’ve been pregnant for a long time?” she captioned a photo of herself in a doctor’s office with her totally huge baby bump on display. “It must be getting annoying to you all that I’m still pregnant. Well imagine how I feel mother f–kers!!!!!! #soblessed #hatemondaysloveweekendstho.” You got through it, girl!
