She’s standing her ground! According to Us Weekly, Cardi B and her estranged husband, Offset, will, in fact, be spending the holidays together. However, it will strictly be as co-parents. “Cardi and Offset will spend Christmas together, but that doesn’t mean she is going to take him back,” a source revealed to the publication. “They’re spending Christmas together for their daughter.”
The former flames, who share five-month-old Kulture Kiari Cephus, called it quits earlier this month. On Dec. 5, Cardi made a formal announcement on Instagram explaining what happened between them. “We got a lot of love for each other but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time,” she said in a video post. “I guess we just grew out of love, but we’re not together anymore. I’m going to always have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter’s father.”
At the time, Cardi also noted that their breakup was “nobody’s fault.” Oh, how we wish that were still true. Shortly after Cardi’s video began to make waves on the internet, Offset’s alleged mistress Summer Bunni issued a tearful apology to the mother-of-one. By that point, fans began to speculate that Offset’s potential reoccurring infidelity is what ended his relationship with Cardi.
Since then, the Migos rapper has made several gestures in attempts to win his baby mama back. However, none of them have seemed to work, including when the 27-year-old crashed Cardi’s performance at Rolling Loud on Dec. 15 with flowers and a cake. Unfortunately, it appears as though Cardi’s resolve is slowly fading.
On Dec. 17, she took to her Instagram Live to reveal that she definitely misses her hubby or, er, at least part of her hubby. “I want it… in my throat… inside of me … demolishing me… destroying me,” Cardi said of Offset’s, well, you get the gist. Sigh. Hang in there, girl.
