Lucas made a rare comment confirming his romance with Shailene while attending the opening night of Broadway’s Good Night, and Good Luck on April 3, 2025.
“Yeah, I’m really happy,” the Netflix star told People about his relationship with the Big Little Lies actress.
A source exclusively dished to Life & Style on April 4, 2025, that Shailene is also head over heels for Lucas and “hasn’t felt this way about anybody” since her split from NFL star Aaron Rodgers in 2022.
“Shailene plans on hanging out with him for a while in Paris, and he’ll visit her in L.A. when he can, too,” the source added of her romance with Lucas. “The long distance doesn’t scare either of them. They both want to make this relationship work.”
On April 30, 2025, Lucas and Shailene made their relationship Instagram official when the actor shared photos and videos from their trip to Slab City, California. One snap zeroed in on the couple’s hands interlocked, while another showed Shailene wrapped up in Lucas’ arms.
Lucas Bravo and Shailene Woodley Fueled Romance Rumors With Plenty of PDA
Fans became aware of Lucas and Shailene’s connection after photos surfaced of the pair going for a PDA-filled walk in Paris on March 23, 2025. He put his arm around her as she held his hand in return.
The following day, the couple was photographed once again during a loved-up Parisian outing. Lucas donned a long coat as he held Shailene tightly in his arms. She reciprocated the affection by holding onto one of his hands.
The two continued on their stroll as Lucas put his arm around Shailene while she continued to hold his hand and looking over at the French actor adoringly.
Lucas Bravo Has Been Very Private About His Dating Life
It was a pretty big deal for Lucas to confirm his romance with Shailene, as he’s previously avoided addressing his dating life.
One topic he did discuss is that he would not get involved with anyone he acted alongside, which ruled out anyone from the Emily in Paris cast.
“I have this rule about costars. Once you step on set, it’s a workplace, and I want to keep it professional. I mean, you never know what can happen, but I really try as much as possible to focus on the story we have to tell and the performance and the character,” he told Glamour in 2020. “But I never know. And a fan? I don’t really have fans, so I don’t know. That is a question I will maybe answer some other time.”
Shailene Woodley Hasn’t Had a Public Romance Since Her Split from Ex-Fiance Aaron Rodgers
Shailene and Aaron split in April 2022, 14 months after he shocked the world by announcing during the NFL Honors that they were engaged.
The Divergent actress opened up about the pain she felt in an interview with Outside magazine on December 3, 2024.
“I haven’t shared much about my relationship with Aaron because it always makes me cry,” Shailene told the outlet. “It was not right. But it was beautiful.”
She went on to add that she needed to go about a rebuilding process after “a really awful, traumatic thing happen in early 2022.” Although Shailene didn’t specifically name Aaron, the duo called off their engagement in February 2022.
“I felt like I lost my soul, myself, my happiness, my joy. I really understood depression and anxiety and, like, complete soul detachment,” she added about the experience.
Shailene was spotted having dinner with a mystery man at New York City’s White Horse Tavern in August 2024, when Page Six reported they were giving off “couple vibes.”
“They were in great spirits and seemed to have a flirtation,” a source told the outlet. “They were very engaged in conversation and singing. They were laughing and seemed lovely together. It was evident they were on a date.”
However, nothing public ever transpired from Shailene’s date with the mystery man.
