It’s only been just over a week since Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson‘s sudden split. However, sources are now suggesting that the 25-year-old songstress is already getting back on her feet with the help of friends, family, and her music.

A source close to the pop star revealed to E! News that Ariana is “in close contact with her family and they are keeping an eye on her and supporting her.” Additionally, the source noted that the brunette beauty is “burying herself in work” in order to cope with her heartache.

That said, it seems Ari’s loved ones are concerned that she’s not facing her issues head-on. The source went on to reveal that the singer’s family and friends “have urged her to take a break and really relax and take time for herself.”

While Ariana and Pete’s breakup is definitely a source of sadness for her, she is also still coping with the loss of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller. The “Self Care” rapper tragically passed on Sept. 7 from an apparent drug overdose.

“Ever since Mac passed, [Ariana] has been avoiding the grievance process and has been trying to keep herself insanely busy,” the source confessed, adding that Pete served as a “big distraction” for Ari, but following their split “reality sank in.”

Don’t be too worried about her, though. It seems that Ariana is fully aware that she has demons to face — even if she’s been trying to avoid them. “Ariana wants to keep going, keep recording music, and move on with her life, but understands that she needs to also deal with her emotions,” the source said.

At the end of the day, “[Ariana] will always have a special place in her heart for [Pete], but “now is not the best time,” the source expressed. We hope that this split will result in only more positive growth for Ariana. You got this, girl!
