Ariana Grande Shuts Down Pregnancy Rumors After Fans Spot A Crib In Her New Instagram Pic
Better luck next time, social media detectives! Ariana Grande took to Instagram on Oct. 4 to share an adorable new selfie complete with her new perfume, Cloud, and baby blue Sweetener sweatshirt. Pretty standard for Ari, right? Well, as it turns out, there was a baby crib in the background — and naturally, fans went bananas with the pregnancy rumors.
“Wait… OMG! What’s the baby crib doing in the background?!” one user commented. “Girl, I’m shook. Who is the freaking baby crib for?” added another. At first, the 25-year-old played along. “My secret child! Duh, ” she replied to one fan before clearing things up. “That’s Piggy Smalls’ playpen in the background. The red is to keep [him] warm,” she revealed. How cute is that?!
ICYMI: Ariana and her fiancé, Pete Davidson, became pet parents to a baby pig back in September. The little oinker, Piggy Smalls, is clearly very important to them both. So much so, the SNL star even got a tattoo of the little guy. Here’s the thing, though: It seems fans were quick to believe that the crib was for a baby — and not Piggy — because of a recent “joke” Pete made about Ariana’s birth control.
During the Season 44 premiere of SNL, the 24-year-old quipped that he replaced his bride-to-be’s birth control with Tic Tacs. “I believe in us and all, but I just want to make sure that she can’t go anywhere,” he laughed. Of course, Ariana’s fans (and women everywhere, TBH) didn’t take too kindly his statement.
“Every time Pete Davidson talks about his relationship with Ariana Grande, it makes me cringe so hard. That birth control ‘joke’ on SNL? Yeah… stop that,” one Twitter user wrote. However, at this time, Ari has made it clear that Piggy is her only baby.
