Someone’s got their eye on the (somewhat deranged) prize! Ariana Grande took to her Instagram Stories on April 22 to reveal she was considering buying the extravagant may queen costume from the 2019 horror hit Midsommar — and star Florence Pugh totally approves of the purchase.

It all started when the 26-year-old shared a text message in which a pal alerted her about an auction that the film’s distribution company, A24, started for the costume with the intent to donated the proceeds to coronavirus efforts. “THE AMOUNT OF [PEOPLE] THAT HAVE TEXTED ME THIS,” Ari responded to the message.

The brunette beauty then tagged Florence, who wore the floral garment in the film, and wrote, “I’m crying / also I’m bidding as soon as possible.” The 24-year-old shared the post to her own Stories. “DO IT! Halloween will never be the same,” she pointed out to the pop star. In another repost, the thank u, next artist revealed she was “already planning to have it made anyway, BYE.”

But possibly the best part of the exchange came next. “It even has hand holes for wine,” the U.K. native gushed in her next repost, to which Ariana replied, “HELP ME.” LOL!

The lavish and colorful costume actually has more celebrity admirers than just the Disney alum, though. In fact, Halsey also has her eye on the collector’s item. “Me, to myself,” she wrote on Twitter around the same time as Ari’s post. “Don’t bid for the Midsommar May queen outfit don’t bid for the Midsommar May queen outfit don’t bid for the Midsommar May queen outfit don’t bid for the Midsommar May queen outfit don’t bid for the Midsommar Ma …”

It’s entirely possible we might have a bidding war on our hands, y’all. But this definitely wouldn’t be Ariana and Flo’s first exchange — in fact, the dynamic duo seem to be good pals. The Grammy winner supported the actress when Florence made a heartfelt video responding to backlash over the age difference between herself and boyfriend Zach Braff.

“‘Being hateful is not trendy.’ A new tattoo for my chest,” the singer commented in reference to the Little Women star’s Instagram caption. “Oh, I love and appreciate [you] so much.”
