The girl can’t catch a break! Ariana Grande was nominated for five awards at the MTV EMAs in Bilbao, Spain, on Nov. 5, but didn’t take home any trophies. Instead, her fellow pop star, Camila Cabello, was the big winner of the night. She took home four awards including Best Artist, Best Video, Best Song, and Best US act for her hit song, “Havana.”

Camila gave a heartfelt speech after receiving her first honor of the night. She said, “I know what it’s like to be a fan. I remember when I was 14 years old watching these shows, waiting for my favorite artists to come on and I know how special that bond is between a fan and their favorite artist and I know how special the bond I have is with my fans. And to all my amazing fans I love you…I see you. Thank you so much for caring about me and for being there for me. I love you so much!”

Even though the 21-year-old took home more awards than her friend, Ariana, it seems like there is no bad blood between the two. After she won the Best Video Award, she gushed, “Wow I don’t know what to say! I feel so lucky to even be here tonight, I feel so lucky to even be nominated. Shout out to my wife Ariana who is also nominated.” The singers have always referred to each other as “wife” or “wifey” in past Twitter exchanges.

In an interview last year, Camila couldn’t help but talk about her strong bond with the “No Tears Left To Cry” singer. She said, “Ariana is one person that has always been so supportive of me, since the beginning and when my first songs came out. She FaceTimed me and was like, ‘congratulations, I am so proud of you.’”
