Forget the cat ears, fans are ready for the veil! Ariana Grande finally revealed when she plans to marry Pete Davidson — so it’s time to mark our calendars! “We’re gonna take our time to plan it,” she said during an interview with Good Morning America. “We’ve been planning like, my friends and I, my mom, everybody, have been brainstorming and sharing ideas and stuff. It’s really fun like, I work so much I never spent this much time or energy planning something personal that feeds my soul so much, and my heart. I’m gonna cry, I’m so excited.” She continued, “It’s not soon soon, it’s gonna be, like, next year.”

Previously, fans were convinced that the couple was planning to tie the knot as early as Aug. 4, 2018, for a very symbolic reason. Since that date has now passed, the fan theory was obviously incorrect — but it’s still pretty exciting to envision the lovebirds saying “I do” this early!

As you may know, Ariana got “8418” tattooed on her left foot in July as a tribute to Pete’s firefighter father, Scott, who wore that badge number when he died in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Many fans thought Ari and Pete would consider exchanging their vows on Aug. 4, 2018, so their wedding date would be the same as Scott’s badge number.

One person even went as far as to say, “If Pete and Ariana don’t get married on August 4th 2018, I will be shocked.” Welp, sorry, fan!

Ariana and Pete’s whirlwind romance has taken many by surprise, but they’re obviously in love! Aside from both having couple-inspired tattoos, Pete also put a dazzling 3-carat diamond ring on her finger. The actor confirmed their big news on June 20 during a hilariously candid interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. Fans could see a twinkle in his eye when Jimmy asked: “Now, you know you didn’t have to get engaged to Ariana Grande to come on our show, right?” Pete’s reply was classic, “But I did, though,” adding, “It’s f–king lit, Jimmy.” Perhaps we should get ready for a star-studded ceremony!
