Congrats are in order! Bachelor in Paradise’s Astrid Loch and Kevin Wendt are engaged, according to a sweet post the 35-year-old shared on Instagram on Tuesday, September 3.

“You’ll never walk alone again. From here on out, we run together. Astrid you are my family, babe. Forever. (See my stories for the adventure/ most nervous I’ve been my entire life!!!)” he captioned the series of photos of him popping the question.

Astrid also took to her Instagram to reveal the happy news. “I could have sworn the world stood still in this moment,” she gushed, adding that Kevin asked to marry her on August 28, 2019, in Toronto, Canada, which is where they currently reside. “A moment I’ll never forget. Just you + me. @kevin.c.wendt you’ve taught me to love, learn and grow and I can’t believe you’ve chosen me to spend this crazy life with. Wonder if I’ll ever stop smiling? Probably not. In this together, forever.” How sweet!

If you’re wondering how Kevin planned the special moment, you’re in luck. He revealed every step on his Instagram Story. “So today is a big day,” he said in a video from August 28, which he shared on September 3. “I’m pretty nervous. Today is the day I’m going to propose to Astrid. She has no idea. I’m taking her over to Toronto Island. I wanna like, show her this is our home. And I love the fact that she moved here for me. I’m going to give her a view of the city she’s never seen.”

“And look at what I got,” he switched the camera over to a bag filled with goodies. “I literally bought a picnic backpack. I’m going to load it up. We got some gummies, some stuff … I obviously got a couple of bubblys for us. I’m going to load up our classic chicken salad,” he added with a laugh. “I’m going to bring it all over. We’re going to bike to the island.”

“I have my ring upstairs that I have to sneak over somehow,” he concluded the videos. “I can’t f–king wait.” Aw, congrats to the lovely couple!
