‘Bachelorette’ Star Mike Johnson Reveals He’s Looking for a ‘Fierce’ Woman With ‘Confidence’
Still looking for love! Mike Johnson is not giving up on his happily ever after he competed for Hannah Brown’s heart on The Bachelorette in addition to appearing on Bachelor in Paradise. Now, the 32-year-old knows the qualities he is looking for in a woman. “Someone [who can] definitely toast some rosé with me, right? I am looking for somebody that has confidence, someone that is fierce, that loves themselves and someone that truly is my biggest competitor and someone that I can cry on their shoulder, if needed,” he told Life & Style exclusively at the launch of “Will You Accept This Rosé” campaign with Smirnoff Seltzer Rosé in Brooklyn on January 13.
Whoever the reality star dates next will be in for a treat since Mike reveals he is “the most romantic person there is.” So, what kind of sweet gestures can suitors expect? “I will say, it always has to do with something that is personalized to you,” he explained while he sipped on on his favorite flavor, Smirnoff Seltzer Pink Apple Rosé. “I am not one to just give you some flowers on a Wednesday and give you something like that. Let’s say your favorite candy is Sour Patch. I might make a bouquet of roses out of those flowers because Sour Patch is your favorite thing.”
Since being on the show, the Texas native — who was previously linked to Demi Lovato after his time on the show — hasn’t been doing too bad with the ladies, but he insisted he doesn’t take anything too seriously. “I am getting a little more attention, you know,” he shared. “I don’t let that stuff get to me. I truly don’t. I am a little older. I am very mature I think — my sister would tell you. It’s the exact same. I can just decipher just like I wasn’t on TV — decipher who is real and who is not.”
Luckily, since Mike is located in the south, he doesn’t have to deal with the spotlight too often. “I think since I live in Texas — it’s not like New York or L.A. So, if I was to go on a date, it’s not really showcased that much,” he admitted. “If I go to L.A. or New York, it’s like, ‘Oh my God! There is Mike right there!’ I am a Texas boy through in and throughout.”
