Mike Johnson Calls Demi Lovato ‘Sexy,’ Confirms They’re ‘Getting to Know Each Other’
Things are heating up, y’all! Former Bachelorette contestant Mike Johnson confirmed he and singer Demi Lovato are testing out the relationship waters when he spoke with Life & Style exclusively at the iHeart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas on September 20.
“She’s sexy, right?” the 31-year-old raved about his potential pop star GF. “We’re just two people trying to get to know each other. That’s all.”
Romance rumors started swirling between the hunk and the brunette beauty, 27, in early September after some serious social media flirting. But it’s clear that the possible duo are still figuring things out and taking it slow. “You can say it’s the beginning stages. Yes,” the Air Force vet revealed. “I’ll go on record saying that.”
It seems like there are more hangouts to come for the potential couple, which is excellent news for us shippers over here. But as far as what their next date has in store, well, mum’s the word on Mike’s part. “I can’t tell,” he teased. “For me to know, for you to find out.”
The portfolio manager also dished about what he likes in a woman — and we have to say, we really think Miss Demi totally fits the bill.
“What I’m looking for in a woman is someone that just is captivating in the sense of when I’m not around I’m just thinking about them. Or whatever it is that they may do,” the San Antonio native explained. “Someone that’s individual to themselves. Someone that’s confident. I love someone that’s super confident that loves themselves.”
The pop star has been making her feelings toward Mike known since his time on the ABC series, making several passes at him on social media to try to get his attention. “I’M RIGHT HERE MIKE I’M RIGHT HERE BOO MY MOM ALREADY LOVES YOU TOO,” she hilariously responded to the tweet where Mike asked where his “future wife” was back in July.
And they’ve kept it flirty on the ‘gram, too. In fact, on September 6, Mike commented on a really hot photo of Demi showing off her ~assets~ in a bikini. “Look at me like that again,” he wrote, along with a smirk emoji. “Love yaself.” Demi sent him back a kissy face and a tongue out emoji, so we’re glad to know they’re ~getting cozy~ IRL.
