Surprise! Former ‘Bachelor’ Contestant Bekah Martinez Is Expecting Baby No. 1
Bachelor Nation is growing! Bekah Martinez and her boyfriend, Grayston Leonard, are expecting their first child together. The 23-year-old, who competed for Arie Luyendyk‘s heart on Season 22 of the hit ABC dating series, The Bachelor, announced the news during an interview with PureWow on Wednesday, Sept. 12.
“I was in disbelief and thought, ‘Is this really happening?'” she told the outlet. “I immediately called Grayston and then went across the street to the Dollar Tree and bought two more pregnancy tests. They, of course, were both positive.”
She then recalled when she told Gray the news for the first time. “I was crying (happy tears) and said, ‘You’re going to be a dad!'” It also happened to be Father’s Day. “We hugged, and it was the first time we really got to be overjoyed. We were finally able to celebrate and soak up all of that emotion,” the soon-to-be-mama said.
Although the reality star could have kept it a secret that her pregnancy was not planned, she revealed she “wanted to share this experience with other women who have been in a similar situation or might be in the future, so they know they’re not alone.”
And Bekah certainly isn’t alone, either! Not only did she joke that she doesn’t have to “worry about finding a man,” but her co-stars have already started commenting on the news. Jade Roper sweetly wrote, “Oh my gosh, ok, so your video made me bawl. Congrats, beautiful. I’m so happy for you, your world is going to change in the most divine way. If you have any questions or need any type of support, I’m an open book and open ear.” Aww! Kendall Long added, “Love you and can’t wait to meet your bundle of joy!” while everyone’s favorite therapist, Bibi, simply wrote, “Woooooooooooooooooo” with several purple hearts.
We’re so happy for the couple! And like Kendall, can’t wait to meet their little one. BTW, is anyone else getting some serious Kylie Jenner vibes from that video? No? Just us? OK.
