After former Bachelor contestant Bekah Martinez admitted her 1-year-old daughter, Ruth, teethed on her vibrator, she received lots of backlash, which she addressed on her Instagram Story on Wednesday, April 22.

“Acting like I abused my child with a sex toy or committed some sort of malicious trauma-inducing act by laughing about it on my podcast? For real?” the brunette beauty wrote. “Y’all need to grow the f–k up and quit getting your puritanical panties in a bunch.”

The 25-year-old then expressed why the negative comments made on a Reddit thread rubbed her the wrong way. “This isn’t just about ‘haters.’ It’s about this judgmental-ass ‘I-parent-better-than-you’ attitude that people take on and exhibit to their friends and loved ones, not just random people on the internet,” she continued. “Have some grace for parents who are stumbling along trying to figure s–t out as they go, just like literally every other mom and dad in the history of the world.”

The backlash began after Bekah recalled a time Ruth accidentally found her vibrator after rifling through a drawer on a recent episode of her podcast, “Chatty Broads With Bekah and Jess.”

Bekah didn’t think it was a big deal — especially because it was an “old, clean, sanitized vibrator.” The mom of one revealed she “continued to let her teethe on it because it made her feel better.”

The reality star also took the opportunity to express her stance on sex toys. “In our house, female pleasure is something that will be talked about and we can only talk about vibrators and sex toys. It’s not that big of a f–king deal … Get a life.”

In addition, Bekah shared a photo with her little one, along with a lengthy caption standing up for other parents. “Some good moms just don’t feel like good moms,” she wrote. “I am one of those good moms, and I’m here to say— we will ALL have moments of being a not-so-good mom. That’s inevitable.”

She concluded the post on a positive note. “What matters is that we love our children and accept our flaws and theirs as part of this beautiful mess of life,” the brunette beauty added. “I don’t know who needs to hear this, but you’re a good mom.”

How thoughtful!
