Bella Thorne Reminds Fans That She ‘Doesn’t Need Makeup’ to Look ‘Gorgeous’ — and She’s Not Wrong!
She’s feeling herself … and rightfully so! Bella Thorne took to her Instagram Story to share a raw video of her bare face. “Bro, I don’t need makeup. Bro, I’m gorgeous,” she captioned the clip on Wednesday, August 21. Girl, you’ve got that right.
Of course, this is hardly the first time that the powerhouse actress, 21, has gone au naturel on social media. In fact, that’s kind of her brand. However, Bella has definitely been feeling herself a bit more these days. Perhaps it’s her blossoming relationship with boyfriend, Benjamin Mascolo, that’s making her skin glow! *Wink, wink.*
Romance aside, Bella has actually been very vocal about her skincare routine — and how successful it’s been! As someone who has publicly struggled with acne, the former Disney Channel star often uses her platform to educate others. During a June 2019 video with Vogue, Bella offered some tricks and tips to dealing acne-prone skin.“My skin has been a longtime in the works,” she admitted.
“I don’t even know how many years I’ve had cystic acne, but it started off as dermatitis, and then I tried everything you can think of,” Bella continued. “Tearing off parts of your face, like burning it off, the vampire facials, the microneedling, the lasers — every laser you can name, I’ve done it. And literally nothing worked — not one thing.”
So, what’s her secret nowadays? “I don’t wash my face in the morning, because there’s something called over-washing your face, and when I had really bad acne, that was one of the things I stopped, and it actually helped my skin,” Bella revealed. Hmmm, sounds simple enough! We’ll have to give that a try. After all, it sounds way less invasive than a vampire facial, right?
