Ben Higgins Shut Down a Troll Who Said His Girlfriend Jessica Clarke ‘Looks Like She’s in High School’
You tell ‘em, Ben Higgins! On Monday, August 13, the former Bachelor star, 30, was forced to shut down a hater who trolled his girlfriend, Jessica Clarke, on Instagram. “She legit looks like she’s in high school lol,” someone commented on an adorable Boomerang of the pair at Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon’s wedding.
OK, so it’s not *the most* vicious thing we’ve ever read on social media, but it’s still totally unnecessary. “I think she looks like a beautifully spry, youthfully joy-filled and optimistically wise 24-year-old … but that’s just me,” Ben clapped back, before adding, “And I think she’s smoking hot.”
Ladies, see what Ben did there? Yeah, never settle for anything less than that. Unsurprisingly, we aren’t the only ones who think so. “Nice response, Ben, and good for you! You deserve all the happiness in the world,” one user gushed. “COULD YOU BE A BETTER BOYFRIEND OR WHAT???” added another (yes, in all caps).
A third person chimed in with, “I agree!! You guys look perfect together! I think you found your match,” while a fourth echoed, “Best comment ever! Y’all are fire together. Let the haters hate!” Because we believe in being thorough, it’s important to note that the troll in question backtracked on her comment after all the backlash rolled in. “I meant it as a compliment,” they clarified.
Hmmm, we’ll let you guys be the judge of that. The “lol” definitely gave off some sassy vibes … just sayin.’ Either way, it’s clear that Ben and his ladylove are doing just fine. So much so, that we can’t help but wonder if they’ll be the next Bachelor Nation engagement. Here’s hoping, right? In the meantime, keep thriving, you two!
