No saltiness here! Former Bachelor star Ben Higgins revealed that things are cool between him and his ex-fiancée, Lauren Bushnell. The reality pair broke up in 2017 after a tumultuous year together. However, the Colorado resident exclusively revealed to Life & Style that any rockiness they had in the past is all behind them.

“We’re friendly. We don’t talk often, but I wish her nothing but happiness,” the 29-year-old divulged about his former partner. Although he didn’t find his wife during season 20, he chalks it up as a learning experience. “Life doesn’t always go as planned,” the Generous Coffee founder admitted about the biggest lesson he learned from appearing on reality television. “Sometimes it’s going to smack you in the face and you just have to continue to move forward.”

The reality stud also added that the show helped him “find a new path.” He first appeared as a software salesman on Kaitlyn Bristowe‘s season of The Bachelorette where he won the heart of America. Now, he owns a successful restaurant called Ash’Kara in Denver and runs a nonprofit called Generous International. The Indiana native has certainly come a long way.

In addition to everything going on in his life, Ben has found love again. “I’ve been selfishly keeping this girl to myself for too long!” he captioned a cuddly Instagram picture of himself and his new girlfriend, Jessica Clarke, on February 20. “Hey friends meet [Jessica]! I successfully slid into her DMs a few months ago. I took a risk and I am glad I did. She is someone special, and I look forward to where life is going to take us. Stay tuned for the journey.”

As for Lauren, she’s also had a lot going on in her life. She recently moved to Nashville to be with her country singer boyfriend, Chris Lane. The duo took their relationship public back in November and are seemingly smitten with each other.

It looks like all is well in Bachelor Nation … for now.
