Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgess Share Rare Look at Son Zane, His Siblings on 1st Day of School
Brian Austin Green and his fiancée, Sharna Burgess, gave fans a rare look at their son, Zane, and his three step siblings on their first day of school.
“Are we going to school,” Zane, 3, asked in an Instagram video shared by Burgess, 40, on Tuesday, September 2. Zane was seen holding up a sign that read, “Zane’s first day of Pre-K.”
Off camera, Zane’s step siblings Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 8—whom Green, 52, shares with ex-wife Megan Fox—hyped up their brother and asked if he was “excited” as he prepared to attend his first day of preschool.
The clip also included a sweet group photo of the siblings, as well as a video of Burgess crying in her car after she dropped Zane off at school.

In addition to sharing the clip, Burgess also opened up about the experience in a lengthy caption. “I am utterly unwell… when did I blink?” the Dancing With the Stars alum began. “The end .. I SOBBED in the car afterwards. I also cried last night and this morning.”
Burgess explained that she has been working on a video for Zane “telling him how proud I am, sharing stories about this part of his life and what he is like.”
“I’ve been doing this since his 1st birthday on milestone moments and sometimes when things happen I want to remember and share with his older self. It’s wild how big he is, and yet 2 days ago he was talking about remembering being in my belly which I’ve told him so no biggie however… he said there was water in there and he liked it and he could hear music and me. He’s also told me he used to be a woman and had a cat named Carol,” she wrote. “[It’s] wild watching him grow into this life and this body but still remember details of another time. I know one day he will forget those things so I always try to document it all for him.”
After noting that Zane is “still little,” she said he “felt a little bigger, a little more grown, and a little bit less my baby” on his first day of preschool. “I am not well. And yet I couldn’t be more proud,” she wrote.

“His siblings hyped him up this morning as you can hear, and we all went to support his first morning drop off,” Burgess concluded in the caption. “My blended tribe is my everything. We are so lucky.”
Burgess and Green began dating in 2020 after they competed together on season 30 of DWTS. They welcomed Zane in June 2022, and experienced another milestone in their relationship when they got engaged in July 2023.
Back in September 2022, Green opened up about how becoming parents strengthened his relationship with Burgess. “I always say that the easiest part is to become a mother or a father. Almost anybody can have a baby, but to be a parent — that’s the work,” he told Us Weekly at the time. “Getting up in the morning, making breakfast, making lunch for school, bedtime rituals and bathtime … that’s when the real work comes in.”
“[Sharna’s] amazing with that. She’s been so hands-on with him,” the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum continued. “At this point in my life, to have a partner that is as hands-on, and in love with the process as she is — even when she’s exhausted — … it’s so nice to have a partner that shares in that duty.”
