He’s reminding his fans that he’s still a father-of-two.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson came under fire earlier this week when he referred to his wife Ciara’s son Future Jr. — whom she shares with her ex-fiancé Future — as his own, but he’s not letting the trolls get in the way of bonding with his stepson.

The 28-year-old took to Instagram on Friday, May 19 to wish his stepson a happy birthday by sharing an adorable photo of the two — and the little tot smiled so wide as he posed with his stepdad.

“The smile you make when you turn [three]! I Love You! Happy Birthday! Love, Papa Russ,” he wrote in the caption.

Fans quickly flooded the comments section with support and encouragement of Russell’s sweet relationship with little Future. “A real man treats his wife's children as if they are his,” one fan wrote and another gushed, “You are such an amazing role model. This little boy has so much love! An amazing mom and two men in his life that love him dearly! This is how it should be.”

It’s a completely different reaction compared to the one Russ got on Mother’s Day when he shared a touching tribute to Ciara. He wrote, “Nothing better than spending time with you. You are an amazing mom [and] I'm so grateful I get to spend the rest of my life with you & raising our kids” in the caption of a throwback photo — and fans picked him apart.

"Stepdad…..You can call him your son but you did no work to make that child so try again," one follower wrote, and another added, "Our? Lmaoo."

But even though trolls tried to ruin a sweet tribute, it looks like Ciara and Russell are still over the moon with their adorable little family of four. Just last month, they welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Sienna Princess Wilson.
