Fans have been axiously awaiting Demi Lovato‘s guest appearance on the Fox show Beat Shazam on July 24, but unfortunately that’s no longer going to happen. Earlier in the day, Demi was rushed to the hospital after seemingly experiencing an overdose, and though she’s now reportedly “alert and stable,” Fox has decided not to air the episode. At least, not today.

“Tonight’s previously scheduled episode of Beat Shazam featured a guest appearance by Demi Lovato. In light of recent reports, we have decided to replace the episode of Beat Shazam with another all-new episode,” said Fox Broadcasting Company in a statement. “Our thoughts go out to Demi and her family.” All mentions of Demi’s planned appearance have now been removed from the show’s Twitter.

Just hours earlier, news broke that police had been called to Demi’s house after she seemingly suffered an overdose. A source told Life & Style that Demi was unconscious when they arrived, and they administered a dose of Narcan — a treatment for narcotic overdose patients. Afterward, she was rushed to the hospital.

Demi has often used her music as a form of catharsis, healing, and connection with her fans, which made her a great choice to guest star on the music reality show. Sadly, she recently used her platform as an artist to reveal to her supporters that she had relapsed after six years sober, in her song “Sober.” We continue to wish her a speedy recovery, and hope to see her episode of Beat Shazam soon!
