Demi Lovato and Will Ferrell Reveal They’re Working on a New Movie Together in Sweet Video
It looks like Demi Lovato is starting off her 27th year just right! The pop star announced she will be joining the cast of Eurovision, costarring alongside Will Ferrell.
On August 20, she posted a video on Instagram of the actor revealing the news while also wishing her a happy birthday. “We want to make a very special announcement about a brand new cast member,” Will said in the clip. “It just happens to be her birthday today and I made her this wonderful cake from scratch. So happy birthday, yay.” Then, the Elf alum smashed the cake into the camera. However, by the end of the video, Demi was seen blowing out her birthday candles.
“Y’all, Will Ferrell made me a cake … from scratch. It looks completely professional and store bought so I’m not at all suspicious that he baked it himself in all of his free time 😝 #netflixisajoke #eurovisionmovie,” she captioned the post. How sweet!
While we can’t help but wonder what the “Tell Me You Love Me” crooner wished for, it seems like she already has everything she needs. Demi also took to her Instagram Story on the same day to express her emotions. “It’s my birthday! I’m so happy. I’ve literally never woken up this happy before in my life,” she said. “I’m doing something today that I haven’t done in a long ass time.” Whatever it was, we have a feeling it was unforgettable!
It’s only been a year since the singer experienced a near-fatal overdose last summer, and she’s made so much progress. Since then, she’s been focusing on her career, as well as her physical and mental health.
“She’s writing songs, working out, meditating and just filling her path, and of course being sober,” a source recently told In Touch. “She feels like her last relapse was an eye-opener and a reminder that she needs to stay diligent and work her sobriety program.”
