It’s coming! Demi Lovato teased that she has new music possibly dropping soon with a mysterious Instagram post during the late hours of December 4. This has been a long time coming. Her last album, Tell Me You Love Me, was released in 2017, and this will also be the first music she’s created since her near-fatal overdose in summer 2018.

“The next time you hear from me, I’ll be singing,” the 27-year-old captioned a blank photo. Although she didn’t specify when she’ll make her triumphant return, the comments exploded with excited fans.

“YES,” actress Millie Bobby Brown commented. Ashley Graham, Debra Messing and Demi’s new boyfriend, Austin Wilson, all left slews of sweet emojis to congratulate her.

“The next time you hear from me, I’ll be watching,” a fan quipped. “The caption gave me chills!!!” another excited follower added. “Ahhhh! Our wait is finally coming to an end,” someone else gushed.

All of Demi’s social media activity was shrouded in mystery that night. After hinting at new music, the songstress also posted white text that read, “Don’t believe the rumors,” on her Instagram Story. It’s unclear what ~rumors~ she’s referring to, but some people have speculated that it could be the name of a new song or album title. Hopefully, Demi doesn’t keep us waiting too long.

The “Confident” artist hasn’t been shy about the work she’s putting in. On November 13, she revealed that she was actively working in the studio. “Recording a song for my loyal Lovatics — the ones who support me and whatever makes me happy,” she captioned a photo of a microphone on her Instagram Story. “If you hating, that ain’t you. Bye.”

That’s not to say that there’s only one new song coming. When songwriter  wished the former Disney kid a happy birthday on Instagram at the end of August, Demi’s response spilled some serious tea. “You are so essential to this album and I’m forever grateful for what we’ve created together … love you, sis,” she responded to the birthday wish.

It has been over a year since the songstress left rehab, and she’s been working hard on her sobriety and living for herself. She shared an unedited bikini photo that embraced her cellulite and any tiny imperfections as a celebration of self-love. “I want this new chapter in my life to be about being authentic to who I am rather than trying to meet someone else’s standards,” she added in the caption.

Keep slaying, girl!
