If you’re wondering why Demi Lovato wasn’t at the AMAs on Sunday, November 25, it’s because she was busy spending time with her boyfriend, Austin Wilson, during a Friendsgiving dinner. Their relationship is fairly new and by the looks of it, they’re crazy about each other.

The 27-year-old singer shared a few clips onto her Instagram Story of her loved ones, which included her beau, having dinner. Afterward, she also posted a mirror selfie with him, in which she tagged him and added two pink hearts. Mirror selfies seem to be their signature pose. When she went Instagram official with him on November 13, she also shared a very similar pic. It’s safe to say she is not shy about showing off her new love. After all, part of why they get along so great is because they have so much in common.

“Austin and Demi share the same circle of friends and most of them are also in recovery,” a source told In Touch recently. “It’s super important for her to surround herself with people who are healthy. But Demi feels really comfortable with Austin because he understands her struggle and her journey, so they can really talk about and bond over their shared experiences and their sobriety.”

Prior to Austin, Demi was linked to former Bachelorette contestant Mike Johnson, but that romance was short-lived. Before the reality star, Demi dated Henri Levy, whom she split from at the beginning of the year. Since then, the pop star has been focusing on her career and personal growth. For starters, in May, she revealed Scooter Braun became her new manager.

“GUYS!!!!!!! Dreams came true today for me,” she captioned a photo with him. “I officially have a NEW MANAGER!!! And not just any new manager but the one and only @scooterbraun!!!! Couldn’t be happier, inspired and excited to begin this next chapter with you Scooter!!! Thank you for believing in me and for being apart of this new journey. Let’s DO THIS!!!!!!” This only means it won’t be long until we get new music from the “Tell Me You Love Me” crooner, who’s been teasing fans with pics from the studio in recent months.

This is my biggest fear. A photo of me in a bikini unedited. And guess what, it’s CELLULIT!!!! I’m just literally sooooo tired of being ashamed of my body, editing it (yes the other bikini pics were edited – and I hate that I did that but it’s the truth) so that others think I’m THEIR idea of what beautiful is, but it’s just not me. This is what I got. I want this new chapter in my life to be about being authentic to who I am rather than trying to meet someone else’s standards. So here’s me, unashamed, unafraid and proud to own a body that has fought through so much and will continue to amaze me when I hopefully give birth one day. It’s such a great feeling to be back in tv/film while not stressing myself with a strenuous workout schedule before 14 hour days, or depriving myself from a real birthday cake rather than opting for watermelon & whip cream with candles because I was terrified of REAL cake and was miserable on some crazy diet shit. Anyway, here’s me, RAW, REAL! And I love me. And you should love you too! Now back to the studio.. I’m working on an anthem.. 🙏🏼🙌🏼🤷🏻‍♀️ also. Just so everyone’s clear.. I’m not stoked on my appearance BUT I am appreciative of it and sometimes that’s the best I can do. I hope to inspire someone to appreciate their body today too. 💗 #nationalcelulliteday #celluLIT 🔥🔥🔥

When it comes to her personal growth, Demi couldn’t be doing better these days. In September, she shared an unedited photo in which she flaunted her cellulite along with a very powerful statement about body image and self-love. “This is my biggest fear,” she began her caption. “A photo of me in a bikini unedited. And guess what, it’s CELLULIT!!!! I’m just literally sooooo tired of being ashamed of my body, editing it (yes, the other bikini pics were edited — and I hate that I did that, but it’s the truth) so that others think I’m THEIR idea of what beautiful is, but it’s just not me. This is what I got.” She then went on and added that she looks forward to “this new chapter in my life to be about being authentic.”

You go, girl!
