Did Saxon Know Chelsea Died on ‘The White Lotus’? Patrick Schwarzenegger Weighs In
The White Lotus season 3 finale answers many questions, including who died and who the killer was. However, the finale episode also left fans asking several unanswered questions, including if Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) knew if Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) had died? After fans took to social media to share their questions, Patrick weighed in.
Did Saxon Know Chelsea Died on ‘The White Lotus’?
Unfortunately, it seems that fans may never know if Saxon knew about Chelsea’s death.
“There’s so much I wish I knew! I just watched the finale. I wonder if Saxon knew that Chelsea died,” Patrick told Variety in an interview published on April 6, 2025.
Another question Patrick said wasn’t answered revolved around his character’s family. Throughout the season, fans watched Saxon’s dad, Timothy (Jason Isaacs), spiral over losing his family’s money.
“And when we power our phones on, is that when we know everything about our dad? [creator] Mike [White] likes ambiguity,” Patrick continued. “He wants people to have these conversations.”
Saxon and Chelsea Created a Friendship During ‘The White Lotus’ Season 3
Fans watched Saxon and Chelsea develop a friendship throughout season 3. After she denied his sexual advances and wondered if he was “soulless,” they bonded during a conversation about spirituality in episode 7.
“I’m not all one thing, I could be somebody else if I wanted,” he told her during the pivotal moment in their friendship. “I mean, I bet I could even connect with you on a spiritual level since that’s so important to you.”
While Chelsea was initially hesitant to help him, Saxon insisted that he wanted to learn about her views of spirituality. “Try me. Teach me your ways,” he said before they began practicing breathing exercises.
Chelsea continued to harbor their friendship when she gave him several books, including When Things Fall Apart by Pema Chödrön.
After her death was revealed during the April 6, 2025, finale, several fans took to social media to wonder if Saxon knew about her tragic fate. “Does saxon even know that chelsea literally died like omg,” one person wrote via X, and another chimed in, “Just wondering if Saxon is aware that Chelsea and Rick are dead!”
Meanwhile, others pointed out that Chelsea seemingly helped Saxon become a better person by the end of the season. “She may not have been able to help Rick, but Chelsea changed Saxon’s life forever. You may never realize the impact you have on people you meet throughout your life,” a third fan wrote.
What Happened During the ‘White Lotus’ Season 3 Finale?
The season 3 finale saw several deaths during a chaotic shootout. The drama began when Rick (Walton Goggins) shot Jim Hollinger (played Scott Glenn) as revenge for allegedly killing his father. However, Rick learned after the shooting that the hotel owner was actually his father all along.
The hotel’s security started to shoot at Rick, and he grabbed girlfriend Chelsea’s hand to escape the bullets. Chelsea eventually died when she was shot, and Rick carried her as he went to find medical help. However, his fate was soon sealed when Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong) shot him to protect Jim’s wife, Sritala (Lek Patravadi).
